about archipedia
Archipedia is an online open-content platform, that is, a voluntary association of individuals
and groups who are developing a common resource of knowledge.
Its structure allows anyone with an Internet connection
and World Wide Web browser to contribute to the content found here.
This project started in July 2005 and is a collaborative effort to create a powerful, free database about architecture, engineering, design
There are so many different projects we never get to hear about as the architectural press does not have the full breadth and means to cover them.
We are interested in mapping both a testament to the architectural canon and what may be considered minor yet interesting "fringe" constructions -
anything from a barn, projects for gate houses, or an innovation in your home town you love to look at.
archipedia should serve as a straightforward and useful reference tool
for both architectural practitioners and architecture lovers,
but most importantly it shall remain free,
forever!
Before you start uploading content, please read the help section and the disclaimer carefully.
Enjoy!
