Description Main Dimensions: Main span 227 m, width of the 10 lane deck 56 m Special Features (new at the time of construction): Asymmetrical cable stayed bridge. Special anchoring of the stay cables due to construction constraints: at the edges of the main deck in the central span and in the median of the main deck in the side spans. The Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Bridge, part of The Big Dig Project in Boston, is the widest cable-stayed bridge in the world. The Bridge serves as the northern entrance to and exit from Boston.
